City of Claremont Facility Use Process for Alexander Hughes Center Rooms and Taylor Hall

  1. For room availability, please contact Shannon Glaudi at the Alexander Hughes Community Center, Tuesday- Friday, between the hours of 1 p.m. – 5 p.m or via email at sglaudi@ci.claremont.ca.us. All reservations must be made 30 (thirty) days prior to the requested reservation date(s). Ms. Glaudi will provide groups with the Facility Rental Application & Contract.

  1. Shannon Glaudi will contact the CPFA to verify the group eligibility to use a city facility. If CPFA groups are not in good standing, they will not be granted permission.

  1. Once CPFA groups are approved, Shannon Glaudi or the Human Services team will tentatively hold the requested date(s). The City will notify the CPFA President of the event, each group will be required to submit a Certificate of Liability Insurance and adding the City of Claremont as additionally insured (1700 Danbury Road, Claremont, CA 91711) for each event. The Certificate of Liability Insurance must be received before room reservation can be finalized.

Capacity: 300 individuals

Cleaning Fee: $150.00 (non-refundable)

Amenities:

Refrigeration,

Tables (12 foot) and chairs

Groups are responsible for room set-ups and tear downs.

Quantity and quality of equipment is not guaranteed.



Alexander Hughes Community Center

  1. Padua Room

Capacity: 149 individuals (capacity is subject to change by floor plan)

Fees:

Cleaning Fee: $150 (non-refundable)

Rental Fee: $25 per hour

Amenities:

Wi-Fi

A/V equipment (subject to availability)

Full kitchen

  1. Grove, Santa Fe, and Sycamore Rooms

Capacity: 40 individuals (capacity is subject to change by floor plan)

Rental Fee: $12 per hour

Amenities:

Wi-Fi

A/V equipment (subject to availability)

Room set-up completed by city staff


  1. College Room

Capacity: 25 individuals (capacity is subject to change by floor plan)

Rental Fee: $10 per hour

Amenities:

Wi-Fi

A/V equipment (subject to availability)

Room set-up completed by city staff


*Possible Additional Fee for Alexander Hughes Community Center Rooms

If the event is outside of Alexander Hughes Community Center operating hours (Monday - Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.,

Friday 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00a.m. - 2:00 p.m.) a $50 per hour fee will be required for the attendance of 2 city

staff members.


5. Once the Liability Insurance Certificate is received, applicable fees may be paid to the City of Claremont and the event will be finalized. Shannon Glaudi will then provide information as to how a group can gain access to the facility on the event date.
